11-35-2000 Aviation Band Headset Communicator

Headset Communicator that facilitates direct radio communication from a paramedic or ground crew direct to pilot and aircrew.

Based upon the design of the successful Salcom 11-35-1000 Search and Rescue Communicator, the 11-35-2000 Headset Communicator facilitates direct radio communication from a paramedic or ground crew direct to pilot and aircrew.

The Headset Communicator comes with a standard headset jack and PTT switch which provides direct connection to military style headset/microphone combinations. The unit may be carried in a jacket pocket as no functional controls are used once it has been switched on. A preset squelch circuit keeps noise level muted until a signal is received and volume level is also preset. Pressing the PTT switch enables the transmitter and releasing it automatically returns the unit to the receive mode.

Each unit is supplied with a tough hard-fronted pouch so that they can be stored safely without the likelihood of accidental activation.

Power is provided by a lithium replaceable battery which will provide a shelf life of at least five years and endurance of more than fifty hours in operation before requiring replacement. Only two controls are operational on the front of the unit, ‘On’ and ‘Off’. The “Press to Talk” (PTT) function is operated by the switch located on the headset jack housing. The microphone and receive audio functions are via the helmet headset.

The 11-35-2000 operates in the standard a.m. aviation band on 123.1Mhz or other aviation band frequencies to order.

Note: Because of the Jack Connector/PTT switch, immersion of the Headset Communicator is not recommended.
